Restoration of Normality: Mirroring the Past in the Future

From 11 until 13 October 2021 Probation and Mediation Service,  together with the Confederation of European Probation, will organize a conference on the past and future of probation, with a focus on restorative justice and interagency cooperation.

Location: the Pyramida Hotel in Prague, Bělohorská 24, Praha 6, 16901

The aim of this conference is to reflect on community and inter-agency cooperation amongst probation agencies, justice agencies and other relevant authorities across Europe, with a focus on Central and Eastern European countries. Gaining new knowledge, sharing experience, exchanging information and supporting mutual cooperation both on local and international level are essential for fruitful and successful cooperation. With the world constantly evolving several new changes and challenges have come up and have needed to be faced. Seemingly traditional probation topics that might have been perceived as overshadowed, suddenly reverberated  across the globe again, while also new ones unexpectedly occured and became new normalities in our lives. This conference would like to show an unusual journey from the past to the future, recall old challenges and discuss new ones that lie ahead of us.
